What our video editing service does

Wedding highlights, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, family tribute films and holiday compilations are the edits we do most. Tell us the occasion, how long you would like the finished film to be, and whether you already have files or need us to transfer the tapes first.

Pricing

Wedding editing packages start at £175 for a highlights film. Home video, anniversary and family tribute edits typically start around £150, depending on how much footage there is and how complex the finished film needs to be.

Cine film edits are quoted once we know the number of reels and the length of scanning required. We always quote a fixed price before any work starts, and there are no hidden extras for music, titles or simple colour correction.

Frequently asked questions

Can you edit videos I already have as files?: Yes. You can send MP4, MOV, AVI, DV or any other common video file. We edit from your files in the same way as from tapes and deliver the finished film as a download, on USB or on DVD.
Do I need to transfer the tapes first?: No. We can transfer your VHS, Hi8, MiniDV or other tapes in-house and then edit from the captured files. Many customers ask us to do both because it keeps everything in one place and one quote.
How long will the edited film be?: Most people choose ten to twenty minutes, which is long enough to cover the day without losing people's attention. We can make it shorter or longer to suit you.
Can I choose the music?: Yes, within copyright limits. You can supply your own licensed track or we can suggest royalty-free music that fits the occasion. If the footage already has original sound we can keep that too.
How much does video editing cost?: Wedding edits start at £175 and family edits typically from £150. The final price depends on the amount of footage and the complexity of the film; we always quote a fixed price before starting.
