Starting an order takes one email or one phone call. We confirm exactly what you have, what you get back and what it costs before anything begins — there is no obligation and no payment until the work is agreed.

What to tell us

Email the list to CopyMyTapes@gmail.com or use our contact page and we will reply with a price. If you are not sure what a format is, send us a photo and we will identify it for you. If you would rather talk it through, call 0207 430 1811 and we will take the details down for you.

Your name, phone number, email address and return address
How many items and which formats (VHS, Hi8, MiniDV, cine reels, slides…)
What you would like back — MP4 files, USB, hard drive or DVD
Anything urgent, damaged or particularly precious

How we confirm the job

Once we know the formats and quantity we email you a price and an approximate turnaround, together with a booking form to complete and place in with your tapes. Nothing is started, and nothing needs to be sent, until you are happy with that quote.

Typical turnaround is 7-10 working days from the day your items arrive with us. If a job is larger, more complex or needs to hit a specific date, we tell you that at quote stage rather than afterwards.

Mixed collections are quoted as a single job, so there is no need to sort your box by format before you get in touch.

Payment

No deposit is needed for domestic jobs. We invoice via PayPal once your job is completed and before we return your copies, so you only pay for work that is already done. Your originals and your digital copies are posted back together once payment has been received.

Free postage on tape transfers over £80

Spend more than £80 on a transfer and the return postage of your tapes and finished files is on us, anywhere in the UK.
